English Test UK specializes in providing you a qualification that is required by the Home Office for your immigration application.
Since 28th October 2013 the Home Office has made it mandatory for all applicants who are applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain / Naturalisation / Spouse Visa to demonstrate their knowledge of Language (KOL) and pass the “Life in the UK” test. Furthermore, on 5th November 2015 the Home Office introduced further changes to the English test for immigration purposes. All tests must be done through a Home Office approved Secure English Language Test centre (SELT).
The requirements of Knowledge of Language (KoL) can be achieved by obtaining one of the approved qualification in English minimum at A1 for spouse / extension purposes and B1 (CEFR) for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Citizenship applications.

2) Life Skills Test (IELTS Consortium)

Home office accept certificates which are listed on the SELT (Secure English Language Test) List. You can book one of the approved SELT tests by clicking on our Dates & Location section. The qualification provided will be valid for two years.
