It is the candidate’s responsibility to select the right type of examination. English Test UK takes no responsibility for selecting the candidate’s exam type. You must check exam type from a solicitor/immigration advisor or Home office website before booking your exam. Information on our website is only to guide you.


English Test UK will send you a confirmation email with the date, venue and time of your exam through your registered email. The exam will only be booked once we have received all the information and full payment. It is the responsibility of the candidate to provide the correct personal information. You can make changes to your personal details within 24 hours of booking your examination free of cost. However any examination booked within a period of 24 hours of sitting an examination no such changes will be allowed.  All changes to be made must be emailed to info@englishtestuk.co.uk clearly stating your name in the 'subject' and by stating change of information

A valid Photo identification (Passport or Biometric card) must be submitted at the time of booking the exam. The ID should not be expired. You will also submit ID for proof of address. Both Photo ID and Address proof (if they are two different documents) MUST be brought on the exam day.  Failure to show either of the IDs, you will not be allowed to sit for the exam and you will lose your seat and fee. You must bring the same IDs which you have submitted when booking your exam.

NB: For all Trinity and Life Skills/IELTS Test bookings an original valid passport (not expired) or biometric card are the only form of ID's acceptable (no photocopies) on the day of the exam will be accepted.

 

It is the responsibility of the candidate  that whilst filling the registration form online all name details, date of birth and passport / travel document numbers, expiry dates are exactly the same as on the passport/Biometric card or the appropriate travel document(s). All addresses must also be correct. Any corrections to be made after 24 hours will incur a minimum charge of £65.

 

No Show or Late on the exam day: In case of a no show or arriving later than your scheduled time then your full fee will be forfeited and you will not be liable for any refunds. We recommend all candidates to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their exam time.

The exam fee is non transferable. It cannot be transferred to any other person or to any other exam type.

All exams booked will incur a charge of £65 to change any details such as name, date of birth, address, expiry date or other after 24 hours of booking the examination. No change of details will be allowed within 36 hours of sitting the examination. 

 

Refund policy is as follows:

 

- Full refund minus £65 within 24 hours of booking an examination provided the examination is not taking place within 36 hours of booking. No refund will apply in the case where an examination has been booked within a 36 hour period of sitting an examination ( For Esol ).

 

- Full refund minus £29 within 24 hours of booking an examination provided the examination is not taking place within 36 hours of booking. No refund will apply in the case where an examination has been booked within a 36 hour period of sitting an examination ( For Life in the UK Test )

 

- Cancellations of examinations after 24 hours of booking an examination and before a period of 96 hours of start of examination 50% refund will be given.

 

- Cancellation of examination after 96 hours of start of examination no refund will be given.

 

- All cancellations must be made in writing to info@englishtestuk.co.uk

 

- All refunds will be made to your credit/debit card used during booking or bank transfer within 7 working days of the request. 

 

Any exams re-scheduled for any reason by English Test UK will be accommodated by giving the candidate the option for an alternative date or location or both. In such a case no refunds will be given.

 

In the rare case of any exam(s) encountering techinical or other issues English Test UK will not re-imberse any travel costs or other costs incurred whilst travelling to the exam venue. However all efforts will be made to rectify the issue. In such an event no refund(s) will be made.

 

Certificates will be awarded by the Home Office approved awarding body at the time of the exam. We do not take any responsibility for any changes made in Home Office policies after you have given the exam and its consequences on the validity or purpose of certificate. It is your (the candidates) responsibility to make sure your certificate is valid at the time of submitting your application to the Home Office.

 

With the new changes announced in April 2015, all Pearson Edexcel certificates (as part of Ofqual registered qualification) issued will be accepted until 5th November 2015. If you are planning to submit your application after 5th November 2015, you must inform our customer service officer so that we offer you an alternate exam which is according to the new guidelines.

 

Only candidates who have received dedicated training through our assessor/trainer on a one to one basis, through distance learning or classroom based teaching will qualify for a FREE re-sit if in case one fails a sitting.

Certificates will normally be despatched out within 13 working days from the date of your exam. Under rare circumstances certifcates may get delayed up to 4 weeks or more due to unforseen reasons. We take no responsibility for any financial loss due to this delay. It is the candidates responsibility to make sure they do their examination well before the expiry of the visa or Home Office deadline. We do not take responsibility for any delays in certificates from the awarding body or any other problems arising due to delay in certificates. No refunds will be given for any delays in certificates. 

 

Replacement of Certificate will cost £50 and may take up to 4 weeks to despatch. 

 

Postal Service: Candidates can opt for postal service in which we will post the certificate at the address given by the candidate during booking of the exam. There will be an additional charge of £10 to opt for this service. The certificate will be sent through Royal Mail Recorded delivery. We will provide a tracking number for the same. Once posted from our centre in the unlikely event of certificate(s) being lost in the post we will not take any responsibility of such an event occurring. We will not refund any fees. The candidate will have to pay again for the replacement of the certificate(s).

 

The candidate must ensure that they book their exam well in advance before their visa expires. We are not responsible for your visa expiry.

 
Unacceptable behavior: We reserve the right to cancel your exam if we have reasons to believe that your behavior to our staff, volunteer(s) or examiner(s) is not acceptable on the exam day or over the phone before and after the exam. In such cases you will lose your full fee.

As a result you will to have pay the full fee to resit the exam.
