Since 28th October 2013 the Home Office has made it mandatory for all applicants who are applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain / Naturalisation / Spouse Visa to demonstrate their knowledge of Language and pass the “Life in the UK” test.

The ESOL B1 or ESOL A1 is a course which completely focuses on your speaking and listening abilities, the whole and sole purpose of this test is to check applicants speaking and listening skills. This test is bifercated in two categories, first has to cleared by the candidate as a single examinee and the other part is condutced with a candidate. For English test, certificaes are provided by the respective governing bodies to the applicants.
In this test consists of 24 questions based on the Life in the UK handbook. You need to score at least 18 or above to pass the test. The test is for 45 minutes.
